Generative AI is a fascinating field that involves creating novel content based on existing data. Here are some major tools and techniques used in generative AI:

  1. Large Language Models (LLMs): These models, such as ChatGPT, Copilot, and LLaMA, are versatile and can generate text, code, and other content. They’re widely used for tasks like chatbots, writing assistance, and code generation.
  2. Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs): GANs are popular algorithms for generating realistic images. They excel at tasks like image-to-image translation and creating artwork.
  3. Variational Autoencoders (VAEs): VAEs are used for unsupervised learning and can generate new data points. They find applications in image generation and data compression.
  4. Transformer Models: Models like GPT-4 are part of the transformer architecture. They’re powerful for natural language understanding and generation.
  5. Image Generators:DALL-E: This tool generates images from textual descriptions, allowing for creative artwork creation. Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, and BlueWillow are other AI image generators.
  6. Video Generators:Synthesia: Converts text to video using avatars and supports multiple languages. Lumen5: Offers templates for creating videos based on presentations or online meeting recordings.
  7. AI Avatars:These avatars are virtual representations generated by speech synthesis, motion capture, and facial recognition. They imitate human emotions and are used in marketing, gaming, and customer services

Hands-on learning by doing (experiential learning) will done during the workshop, so bring your own device (BYOD).
