Title: "From Man vs. Machine to Man and Machine: Our Evolutionary Defense Against AI Threats"
Abstract: "Cyberattacks are getting smarter and more common. Criminals are using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to sneak into the digital world and do more harm without getting caught. The Security researchers haven't studied AI-powered cyberattacks enough to know just how tricky they can be. This talk will be focused on the rising threat from a AI-driven cyberattacks and sheds light on how AI is being used for malicious purposes in these attacks."
BIO:
Harvinder is a seasoned security professional with mastery level skills and certification. He is skilled in digital security forensics and incident response. With over 13 years in the industry he provides security risk assessment through his company "Episec" and has many regional and international clients. He runs vulnerability tests, designs and implements security protocols from hardware to data security and information protection and leads security operations teams. He gives back to the industry by teaching courses on these areas in the NAIT Computer Training Center (CTC), while organizing the annual BSides security conference.
